Sunday 10th April – walk **** – Landguard circuit – sunny periods.

Another lovely day here on the East coast, warm enough for me to do my exercises in the back garden before my son and his partner arrive for a cuppa and hot cross bun, Mag even baked a vegan cake:) After great visit Mag and I decided to go for a walk, being a Sunday, we wanted to avoid the busy prom so drove down to The Manor to do our Landguard Nature Reserve circuit arriving just before 3.15. We slowly made our way to The River Orwell and sat for awhile on the sleepers on the jetty. The dredgers were not working being a Sunday but two container ships left while we were there and we spotted several birds including loads of Linnets, partridges, crows, pigeons and gulls plus some butterflies:) A very pleasant walk in the hazy sunshine although the breeze did have an edge to it! Then home for a cuppa with a cheese cracker for a change and watch the lady’s rugby, Ireland v Italy, always entering with some very skillful rugby:)
Fingers crossed for a couple of days of foiling on Mon/Tues!
